seOverflow recently had our quarterly team building/adventure day facilitated by Mad Max from Renaissance Adventure Guides and Terri Starck from Life Point Strategies. We started out at a coffee shop in the small mountain town of Empire, Colorado learning about winter survival and emergency snow shelters. We then headed up to the top of Berthoud Pass and then snow-shoe’d our way up even higher! From their we each went out individually picked a spot and built an emergency snow shelter to “get us through the night”. To wrap it up we went around to each other’s shelters and learned how and why we built the shelters the way we did. All and all it was a fantastic event, and a big thanks to Max and Terri for doing such a great job.
